University of Virginia, Fall 2016
An incredibly exciting time at the School of Architecture, students presented their design proposals through an exhibition of models, drawings, digital forms of communication and full-scale prototypes partnered with verbal explanations of both the design processes and the proposed interventions. Students and faculty reviewed, critiqued, discussed and debated the proposals with a panel of amazing invited guest jurors. Over 30 studio reviews took place, at the undergraduate and graduate levels in architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning. Eight advanced topics research studios covered topics and sites from augmented reality and wood proto-architecture to the Yamuna River in New Delhi and the urban landscape of Hong Kong.
